Made entirely of Western Red Cedar, each carving is salvaged from various parts of the Pacific Northwest forests on occasion from timber sales of past or recent fires and local arborists.
Standing approximately 8 feet tall ±1-2 inches, the wings are slotted into the piece as well as bolted to the figure to maintain a secure fit. Not shown is a “relief line” made in the back which runs the length of the piece to control wood movement and reduce weight.
Typically shipping in 2 to 3 weeks for a “made from scratch” custom order, this classic piece is an item of the Shangukeidi clan of Alaska. As such this item as a signed work will be sunset at the end of the year (2025) and only available by request.
